Mechanical Fitter at CNG Glass (Nigeria) FZE

Job Description

• To ensure that all the mechanical systems and equipment in our facilities operates efficiently and optimally.
• Carry out preventive maintenance program/checks at regular intervals and act preventively to avoid situations from arising that may compromise the proper functioning of machinery and equipment.
• Ensure that maintenance is performed according to a schedule, in conjunction with the maintenance planner to sustain or improve equipment overall efficiency.
• Perform post-maintenance functional tests and checks to verify that the maintenance action was successful before handing it over to production team and sign off.
• Responsible for documenting maintenance operations (e.g. keeping a log of maintenance activities, gathering data and preparing reports on repairs carried out, frequent breakdowns and routine checks) and report to a Supervisor/Technical Manager.

Qualifications

• O’ Level WAEC / NECO / NABTEB / Trade Test.
• OND Certificate in Science will be an added advantage.
• Experience: 2 years cognate experience.

• Pipefitting and Pipe skills
• Welding and TIG Welding skills
• Steam fitting experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Physical strength and stamina
• Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry is a plus
• Have effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Good knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Great organizational and time management abilities.
• Have good mechanical aptitude.
