Logistics Supervisor at Rotic Aluminium Extrusion
Job Description
- We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill role of a Logistics Supervisor to manage our finished goods store, at our facility in Awka, Anambra State.
- This role involves overseeing the loading of goods into trucks, managing laborers, writing waybills, and maintaining inventory records to ensure efficient and accurate outbound logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the loading of goods into trucks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to delivery schedules.
- Manage and supervise laborers involved in loading and unloading activities.
- Prepare and issue waybills for outgoing shipments.
- Ensure to meet all loading targets daily as this would be the key performance indicator.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of finished goods.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures during loading and unloading activities.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to outbound shipments.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient outbound logistics operations.
- Develop plans to monitor storage utilisation levels.
- Record and monitor stock levels.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of HND in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or in a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in logistics, warehousing, or a related role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management and logistics software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in logistics operations.
- Willingness to work long hours.
- Willingness and ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities.
