
Brewing Instrument Artisan at International Breweries
The key purpose of this role is to operate, maintain, and plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality, maintain equipment and process control equipment systems in the Brewing and E&F plant and conducts maintenance and troubleshooting on measurement and control.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Maintain a Safe and Healthy Working Environment
- Comply with safety, health and environmental procedures and legislation
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
Maintain, Repair, and Optimise Plant and Associated Devices
- Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation systems
- Plan and prepare the job
- Carry out repairs or maintenance
- Continuously improve (optimize) plant, process equipment and systems
Operate Process
- Prepare for production
- Operate and monitor machine performance
- Start up machines
- Run the machines
- Perform brand and pack change
- Carry out machine lubrication
- Ensure cleaning of machines
Optimize Production Performance
- Interpret and implement production plan for the shift
- Measure and record performance attributes
- Optimize usage of resources
- Support the team to improve process quality
- Facilitate team problem solving
- Monitor trends and initiate corrective action
- Perform running schedules.
Apply the VPO Principles and Practices
- Apply 5S standards and practices in the workplace
- Operate and control the process according to SOP’s
- Conduct autonomous maintenance.
- Manage quality at source
- Improve personal competence and flexibility
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
Apply Problem Solving Processes
- Utilize short interval control to identify problems
- Apply problem solving techniques to resolve situational problems
Profile:
- Relevant Technical Qualification / Diploma/HND/BSc.
- 1-2 years relevant work experience and/or on the job training.
- Experience within a Brewing / FMCG industry
About International Breweries
International Breweries Plc was incorporated in December 1971 by its founder and first Chairman, Dr. Lawrence Omole under the name International Breweries Limited. The Company commenced production of its flagship product Trophy Lager in December 1978 with an installed capacity of 200,000 hectoliters per annum. Following the increasing demand for its products, in December 1982 the Company embarked on an expansion programme to increase its capacity to 500,000 hectoliters annually. The company was listed on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange in April 1995.
